Today's CAS challenge at Splitcoast was to take one of out own cards...and Make It Over.
I chose this CARD of mine to simplify. I deleted all the layers and used embossing with my Nesties and scoring to create my 'layers'.
I used new stamps from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS called Bee-autiful Ballerina.
A nice and simple one today!
Card Supplies:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps~Bee-autiful Ballerina
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey Bittersweet(inside)

VERY VINTAGE MARIGOLDS

Today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com was to create a Vintage card. I rarely do vintage cards....I don't even know if I have EVER made one. LOL

I am glad I was able to participate in today's challenge as I am quite pleased with how this turned out. Maybe I will be making more vintage styled cards in the future.

I used New stamps for August from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS called Calendula~October Flower of the Month. I also used the Just For You sentiment stamp from CDS.

I used the script stamp on the Ivory and Kraft background pieces and then sponged all my layers heavily. I also used a piece of Mullberry Paper and frayed the edges a bit and sponged them to create a bit more texture.

I found this OLD button in my stash of buttons....I don't even know where or what outfit it came with or off of. It has to be at least 20 years old.....so I am hoping that is vintage enough for today's challenge. I paired it with the last of my brown sheer ribbon. I heated the ribbon with my heat gun to get it to crinkle.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps: Calendula~October Flower of the Month, Just for You
Paper: Ivory, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Mullberry
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa
Accessories: Nestabilites, MS Border Punch, Large & Scalloped Oval punches, Sponge Daubers,
Sheer Brown Ribbon, Heat Gun, Dimensionals, Mother of Pearl Button

MELON MAMBO PANSY'S

I made this card for today's sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

I used the Pansy stamp set from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS which is new for August.

I embossed them with copper embossing powder onto watercolour paper and used my aquapainter and markers to watercolour them. I then cut them out and added them to my main panel with the flourishes I cut out using my Shapabilites from Spellbinders.

I finally pulled out my Melon Mambo Designer paper and paired it with Chocolate Chip and a bit of Kiwi Kiss. I like this colour combo alot. I also embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder on watercolour paper and punched it out with my word window punch.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps~ Pansy
Paper: Watercolour Paper, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Melon Mambo DSP & Textured
Ink: Copper EP, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Label 1 Nesties, Shapeabilities Flourishes, MS Arch Lattice Punch, Word Window & Oval Punches, markers, aquapainter, dimensionals
