CARNATION

Isn't this flower the cutest?  I made it with my new EK Success Carnation Dimensional Flower Punch.  I made it in the colors for today's COLOR CHALLENGE over at Splitcoaststampers which were, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade.



I also used the MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE for the layout of my card.  I will add a sentiment later when I know what I need the card for.

FOUR CHALLENGE CARD

I made this card for FOUR Challenges from this week.  I haven't done that it in ages.

~ WT351 WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE at Splitcoaststampers which was Faux Letterpress.  I inked up the flat side of the Snow Dots embossing folder with Cherry cobbler ink then ran it through to emboss.  This inked up the background and left the raised embossed images the original color.

~PPA122 PALS PAPER ARTS CHALLENGE which was to use the colors Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla on our card.

~MOJO217 MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE.  I really liked the sketched this week.  I changed the square panel to a circle.

~CCEE1148 CHALLENGE  was to use snowflakes and bling on our card.

FROSTED PEAR

I made this card today using the SKETCH CHALLENGE & this weeks COLOR CHALLENGE from Splitcoaststampers.  The colors this week are Pear Pizzazz, Kraft and White.  A very clean and crisp combo.  

I used the Faith In Nature stamp set and stamped the pear twice on watercolor paper and once on Whisper White.  I watercolored the pear with my markers and aquapainter then cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals after curling the edges inward.  I then used Crystal Effects to give the pear a glaze and added some dazzling details.

CHOCOLATE INSPIRED SKETCH

This card is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE over at Splitcoast. I was in the mood for chocolate...as is reflected in the colors on my card.

HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY JUSTIN & AMANDA

I made this card for my Nephew and his wife's first Anniversary. They had a vintage/ button themed wedding with Button Bouquet's ... it was really cool. I saved a few wedding favors to use on their card. The Buttons, Netting and Ribbon are from her wedding day.

I also used today's SKETCH CHALLENGE from Splitcoaststampers.

NEWSPRINT BUTTERFLY

I made this card using the following three challenges:

1. SKETCH CHALLENGE #357 from Splitcoaststampers
2. WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE #347 from Splitcoaststampers. To use newsprint on our card.
3. PALS PAPER ARTS #118 CHALLENGE which was a color challenge. Soft Suede, River Rock and Early Expresso.

I forgot how much I love the color River Rock. I used it as my card base, then added some Well Worn DSP from SU that matched the colors perfectly. I added the newsprint as the small layer of butterfly.

I left off a sentiment and will add it later...this will probably be an anniversary card.



I also used some retired SU Hodgepodge hardware for my ribbon accent and the Butterfly center.

I love this Designer Series Paper called Spice Cake from Stampin Up. It is so gorgeous. I paired it today with the stamp set called Faith In Nature.

I added some Dazzling Details to the flower centers...although it is hard to see in the photo. It is raining here again....so it was hard to get a good picture.

I made this card earlier in the week and never uploaded it. It is using the Simply Soft Stamp set which is a hostess set and can be earned for free.

I used the Layered Marker (Karen Barber's Technique) to color in my flowers.


I added some shadow and highlights.

LANGUAGE OF FRIENDSHIP

For yesterday's SKETCH CHALLENGE at SC.

I finally inked up my Language of Friendship stamp set. I colored my bird with markers and used the Bird Punch to punch it out. Easy Peasy.

I so love this wide striped ribbon...I finished of the bow with an Antique Brad.

HB FLOWER FEST

For today's TRY A NEW TECHNIQUE CHALLENGE, to use a regular HB Pencil to color in an image. Also the sketch from today's CLEAN & SIMPLE CHALLENGE..

I heat embossed the images with the Pewter embossing powder from the Holiday Mini Catty. I then colored in the images using a regular HB pencil. I used the eraser to add some highlights and a little bit of a pink and green pencil crayon just to add a bit of interest. It looks much better in real life.

SIMPLY SOFT ANNIVERSARY

This card is for my parents Anniversary in October. I used the COLOR CHALLENGE over at SCS which was Early Expresso, Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party. I really liked these colors together. This card measures 8" x 5.5".


I added some of the sparkle to my flowers....it shows up a little better in the close up.

TRIPLE TREAT ANNIVERSARY FLOWER

I made this card using the new Triple Treat Flower, which is a single stamp from the new Idea Book & Catalog. The flower was stamped three times, punched out and layered up. I also added some of the new Dazzling Details and Velvet Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

SENDING MANY THANKS

I saw a card on my friend Crystals blog using the Easy Events stamp set that we received for FREE at convention. I realized I haven't even inked it up yet. So I remedied that today. I made this card using the colors from today's COLOR CHALLENGE over at SC. The colors were: More Mustard, Calypso Coral and Cherry Cobbler.


I also used the fabulous Lace Ribbon Border Punch and weaved some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding through it for some added texture.

I also created my own DSP using the flourish from the Best Friends Forever set, stamping it tone on tone on the More Mustard card base.

HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday we spent the afternoon with family celebrating my Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law's 25th Anniversary. This is the card I made them that was included in their gift basket.

This card is a whole piece of 8.5 x 11 " card stock folded in half. I used the SU's Glossy Cardstock for the main image panel.

EMBOSSED ANNIVERSARY

I made this card for today's FREE FOR ALL CHALLENGE at Splitcoaststampers. We were to use an Embossing Folder as the focal point of our card.

I used Stampin Up's fabulous Floral Garden Embossing Folder. I highlighted the raised images with Concord Crush ink and a Sponge Dauber.
