REMEMBERING MURPHY

I made this card for today's COLOR CHALLENGE over at Splitcoaststampers.  The colors were Pool Party, More Mustard and Early Expresso with the option of using a Designer Paper.  I chose the Spice Cake DSP from Stampin Up.  I love this paper.

I also needed a card for a co-worker, who had the sweetest dog on her Mail Route die....so sad.  His name was Murphy.  Whenever I filled in on her route he was so friendly and always came over for a treat.  So this one is for Murphy!

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Dog Days
Paper:  Pool Party, Whisper White, More Mustard, Spice Cake DSP
Accessories:  Spellbinders Oval Nesties, Early Expresso Ribbon, Sponging, Dimensionals, Heart Blocks Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug

PAISLEY PRINTS ANNIVERSARY

I finally had a chance to get into my craft room and make a card for a challenge.  This card is for this weeks SKETCH CHALLENGE at Splitcoaststampers.  It was a difficult one for me....I decided on different Designer Papers for my circles from SU's Paisley Prints DSP.

I created a ribbon rose using my Old Olive Satin Ribbon for my fifth circle.  I added some Pale Blue pearls and an Old Olive library clip to finish it off.  Also, the background was sponged with Marine Mist onto Whisper White card stock and then distressed with water droplets.

Card Supplies:

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  SU Paisley Prints, Whisper White, Old Olive
Accessories:  Old Olive Satin Ribbon and Library Clip, Blue Pearls, SU Circle Punches, Sponge, Water Mister, Dimensionals,

BEST WISHES

My sister asked for a wedding card for her nieces wedding.  This is what I came up with.  The Doily Background stamp was stamped onto Whisper White card stock.  Vellum card stock was then embossed and used as an overlay.  I added some pearls, ribbon and sentiments to complete the card.

Since this card was her gift as it was a Money Holder card I put it in a clear envelope and decorated it with some more ribbon and butterfly.

INSPIRED SMALL WONDER

I am home sick today...blah!  So I thought I would take a look at today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #326 over at Splitcoaststampers.  Today's website to be inspired by was Superfine Bakery.  I saw this beautiful cake with the pale orange flowers and was inspired to make the card below.

I also used this weeks SKETCH CHALLENGE #374  from Splitcoaststampers.

I was inspired by the pale flowers and the embossed looking dots on this cake to create my baby card below.  I thought the Peach Parfait color was a nice change from the usual go to Pink for a baby girl card.

Although I have not been posting much on line...I have been busy in my craft room.  I made this card for one of the challenges out there in blog land ... then I forgot to upload it and forgot which challenge it was for.  lol

So here it is anyway.  I love the Wisteria Wonder color from Stampin Up paired with Concord Crush..or is it Crushed Concord...I can never remember.

Have a great day!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Wow, where is January going?  Time sure does go fast.

I created this card at the beginning of the month for dear friends of ours Anniversary.  I wanted to use the new Glimmer Paper from SU...it was still sitting in the package unopened.  I punched the hearts out of the black card stock and layered it over the Glimmer Paper.  I outlined the hearts with some Dazzling Details.

I sprayed the entire card with the Gold Shimmer paint mixed with alcohol. I was a little heavy handed with this but still liked the outcome.  I also added a hat pin to the bow!

I hope they liked it

A YEAR IN REVIEW ~ DECEMBER FAVORITE

This project was my favorite for December.  I made something totally out of the ordinary for me.  A Matchbook Style Paper Bag Photo Album.

I just loved how it turned out.  I followed KATHY ORTA'S instructions on her You Tube Channel.  HERE is a link to her channel.

I used the Beau Chateau Designer Series paper and Fabric and Side Notes on this creation.

The first photo is the book closed with the belly band.

This second photo is a close up of the Belly Band.  I used The Beau Chateau Fabric and the Butterfly Die to create the focal point.  I finished it off with an antique brad and key and lock charm.

This photo is of the inside cover.  I added lots of pockets to hold little photo opportunities and journaling.  This album is made from the Celebrate It Bags you can buy at Micheals.  So each tab you see pulls out of a pocket .

On this page I used vellum card stock to create corner pockets.

Here is an example of how each page is a pocket that houses another page that can be pulled out.

I totally fell in love with how this project came together.  I am NOT a scrapbooker at all...but this project was just too cute not to give a try.  I couldn't believe how easy it came together.  Thanks to Kathy Orta for her great videos and for sharing her talent.

Have a great day.
