A FEW MORE CONVENTION PHOTO'S

When I travel anywhere, I usually try to buy a little reminder of my trip. This time I bought a silver band with the turquoise stone to remember my first trip to Salt Lake City. My friend and upline Crystal bought a ring too!

On the Friday night of convention, we took a tour of the Stampin Up's Headquarters in Rivertown. The following are a few of the displays that they had set up.

STAMPIN UP CONVENTION PHOTO'S

Here are a few photos from the Stampin Up Convention. What a busy, fun-filled week!

Here is my up-line, (waving) as she marches across the stage for her 5 year recognition of being a Stampin Up Demo. She walked across the stage three times....yeah Crystal!!!

Here is just a photo of the stage...the picture really doesn't do it justice as to just how pretty it was.

Here are the girls we did our Make & Takes with! What a nice bunch of ladies!

Here is Crystal & I waiting for one of the sessions to begin!

I have tons more photo's, and will upload more as soon as I can!

HOME AGAIN!

Well I am home from Convention...and it was FABULOUS!

I got back Sunday night and was back to work on Monday....yuk! With this heat (I work outside, delivering mail) I am pretty much toast when I get home....it kind of kills the creative mojo!

I will try to upload some photo's from convention tomorrow after work. Unless I am totally fried that is..tomorrow is supposed to be 37 degrees but feels like 47 degrees....G R O A N !!!

We got lots of freebies at convention...lots of stamps, a great bag, a catalog binder, a MDS download...and the list goes on. I got soooo many fabulous ideas from all the samples and great displays.

I can't wait to share it all with you!

Until then,

Gloria

PS. Don't forget, now is a great time to sign up as a Stampin Up Demonstrator for only $119 and get all the perks I do! CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

LOVE & CARE REVERSE MASKING

I was able to make a quick one layered card today using the Reverse Masking Technique which was the Technique Challenge today at Splitcoaststampers.

This is one single layer of cardstock...doesn't it look like more? I love the dimension you can achieve with this technique.

I also was able to use the new Love & Care Stamp set which is a hostess set in the Summer Mini.

I will be leaving for convention on Wednesday morning....so I am not sure if I will get another post done before then. If not....have a great week everyone!

ALONG THE SHORE

I pulled out an old retired Stampin Up set today for the FREE FOR ALL CHALLENGE over at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge theme was "good ole summer time".....we were to make a card that conjured up memories of summertime as a child, or just what we like to do in the summer.

This stamp set Along The Shore...reminds me how we used to go to the beach almost weekly when we were little. It was a true family ( & extended family) affair.

I heat embossed the image with Black Embossing Powder onto watercolor paper. I then used my inks and aquapainter to watercolor my scene.

I also discovered that I really like Cajun Craze and Island Indigo together as a color scheme!

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Along The Shore (retired)
Paper: Watercolor paper, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze
Ink: Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Early Expresso, Pool Party, Island Indigo
Accessories: Top Note Die, Large Clear Scallop Die, Big Shot, CC Striped Ribbon (retired), sponges

Thanks so much for looking today!

FRIEND TO FRIEND

This card is a bit brighter and more colorful than I usually make. I tend to shy away from bright colors...I am more of a Neutrals girl. I do like the final outcome though.

This card was made with the following three challenges in mind from Splitcoaststampers:

~ COLOR CHALLENGE (Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry & Tangerine Tango)
~WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE (To use doilies on our card)

I was able to use some of the new FLIRTATIOUS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER from Stampin Up. It is gorgeous. I also didn't have anything to go in the center of my doily so I embossed a large silver brad from the Hodge Podge kit with Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Punch Bunch(retired)
Paper: Flirtatious DSP, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Versamark
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches, 1" Circle Punch, Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Dimensionals

We were to make a Faux Silk card and add a twist my adding glitter, distressing etc...

I added both Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and distressed with Vintage Photo Ink. I also embossed the faux silk bottom layer with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I rarely take a photo of the inside of my cards.....I happened to remember to take one today!
