VALITA'S FLOWER

This was what I created for today's sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

There is actually NO stamping on this card......YET! I may stamp a small sentiment in the bottom right corner like Best Wishes....

My sister needs a wedding card...so I will see if she likes this one before I add the sentiment.

Isn't that flower cool??? I can't take credit for it...It is one of VALITA'S DESIGNS & FRESH FOLDS. Check out her tutorial on her blog.

Here is a close up of the flower. It is made with the SU Scalloped Circle punch. Very cool!

Card Supplies:

Stamps: None
Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Cameo Coral
Ink: Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: SU Scalloped Circle Punch, 1/2" circle punch, Spring Bouquet punch, Flourish Shapabilities Dies, Stylized Flowers Embossing Folder, Rhinestone flowers, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, glue dots, sponging, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon

It was fun to try something new today and go out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for looking....

GLOR

Hi Gloria! Love the card! What a great job you did with the sketch challenge! Yes, that flower is really cool! I love Valita's designs.

To answer your question about what I charge, my consignment store really marks things up high, so I only asked $3.00, because I know they'll probably mark it up for $5.00. I do not include envelopes, because anyone can buy a box of envelopes themselves, and it would cost me $5.00 to buy a box of envelopes or become so time consuming to make them its not worth it. The copy paper I used was probably sitting in my cupboard for 20 years, and everything else was just a scrap or cost pennies, so I really don't think I put much money into it so I didn't need to charge much. I plan on opening an Etsy store in about 5 months, after my daughter's wedding is over, because I just feel like I'm getting 'ripped off' selling things at my local consignment store. Once, I do that, I'll start charging more.
