Today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com was to create a Vintage card. I rarely do vintage cards....I don't even know if I have EVER made one. LOL
I am glad I was able to participate in today's challenge as I am quite pleased with how this turned out. Maybe I will be making more vintage styled cards in the future.
I used New stamps for August from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS called Calendula~October Flower of the Month. I also used the Just For You sentiment stamp from CDS.
I used the script stamp on the Ivory and Kraft background pieces and then sponged all my layers heavily. I also used a piece of Mullberry Paper and frayed the edges a bit and sponged them to create a bit more texture.
I found this OLD button in my stash of buttons....I don't even know where or what outfit it came with or off of. It has to be at least 20 years old.....so I am hoping that is vintage enough for today's challenge. I paired it with the last of my brown sheer ribbon. I heated the ribbon with my heat gun to get it to crinkle.
